Financial Co-Sponsorship
The University Park Allocation Committee (UPAC) is the Penn State University Park allocation committee that provides funds for recognized student organizations. The GSA can also financially co-sponsor events but this involves some steps. The PDF below provides rules and guidelines for financial co-sponsorship. Please be aware of the 5 week requirement to have events co-sponsored with GSA. Additionally, student organizations must still pay for 20% of the cost of the event.
GSA can also help support student organizations in other ways as well. Resources in the office, distribution of events through our listserv, and distribution of flyers are some ways we can help.

National Association of Graduate and Professional Studies
The National Association of Graduate and Professional Students (NAGPS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of graduate and professional student life in the United States of America. To this end, NAGPS works to actively promote the interests and welfare of graduate and professional-degree-seeking students in public and private universities, as well as in the public and private agencies at the local, state, and national levels. In addition, through its national office and regional networks, NAGPS acts as a clearinghouse for information on graduate and professional student groups at all stages of development.
GSA at Penn State is one of the founding members of NAGPS and receives benefits as a result of its membership. Among these material benefits are access to an on-line Job Bank, Fellowship and Grants Internet search engines, and student discounts in travel and purchases. NAGPS also holds national conferences and makes students aware of changes in legislation, financial aid, or income tax policies that may affect graduate students.
Graduate Writing Center
Created in 1999, the Graduate Writing Center provides free support for graduate students at any stage of their degree programs. You and a consultant can spend up to an hour talking about writing-related questions you may have.
